Root Canal Treatment

A root canal is needed when damage occurs to a tooth’s pulp chamber (where nerves and blood vessels are located). This can happen due to trauma or severe tooth decay, where the pulp becomes inflamed, resulting in pain and infection, and, in some cases, swelling and bone loss around the tooth. Root canal treatment aims to remove all the infectious pulp tissues and create a clean space which is then sealed with biocompatible material.
